Maj Johannesson

I can wholeheartedly recommend the talented practitioners, Rasmus, Maj, and Tiril at Privatklinikken and had been looking forward to a revisit today.

I hold a degree in movement pedagogy from Gotvedinstituttet (2003) and have since focused on massage and teaching movement patterns and possibilities as a method to meet each client’s unique needs.

Challenges or issues in the musculoskeletal system can manifest as very specific discomforts, such as tension headaches, sciatica, soreness, or acute pain in areas like the shoulders, neck, and lower back. Other symptoms may be more diffuse, like fatigue, reduced energy levels, performance, and resources, or persistent pain from an old injury that has not been adequately rehabilitated.

Constant pain or stress can lead to an overall increased tension level throughout the body, leaving it without sufficient rest, relaxation, and recovery. This lack of recovery, often linked to poor sleep, can compound soreness and discomfort over time.

Massage works to release these tension patterns, and many experience relief from pain directly linked to those tensions. Massage improves blood circulation within the muscles, providing them with renewed nourishment. Passive stretches relax the joints and stimulate the respiratory system, leaving you with both a physical and mental sense of calm and balance after treatment.

I have extensive professional knowledge of the body’s functions, nervous system, and symptomatic presentations, coupled with years of experience in identifying the root causes of muscular and functional issues. My goal with treatment is for you to experience tangible improvements afterward.

If desired, your treatment can also include advice on small daily changes, exercises for immediate relief, and increased awareness of what alleviates or worsens your condition. These insights empower you to take control of your body, offering great reassurance that you can make a difference, even with small adjustments, when something feels wrong.

Since massage stimulates the circulatory system, I recommend eating and drinking a bit more before treatment, especially if you are sensitive to blood sugar fluctuations.

Entrusting your body to a stranger is an act of trust that I deeply respect. I see it as my responsibility to listen to and honor everything you share about your situation and needs.

I promise not to make claims I cannot fulfill, nor will I suggest that it takes ten treatments before you notice positive changes.
